Marco, the owner of 'Ca' dei Martinei' is the author of the path through the streets of Pizzano, in Vermiglio in Val di Sole, with life-size hay men depicting the arts and crafts of the past.

Vermiglio is enveloped in a magical Christmas atmosphere. In addition to the traditional nativity scenes along the streets of its three hamlets, set up on countless fountains and in its four churches, a new route has been added since 2018 through the streets of Pizzano, featuring life-size haymakers depicting the arts and crafts of times gone by.

The installations are arranged along a circular path, with the nativity scene set in a real stable. Among the characters are the Holy Family, the shoemaker, the rope maker, the cheesemaker, the chimney sweep, the farmer bringing milk to the dairy, two women knitting, the emigrant (Vermiglio has seen many of its inhabitants emigrate around the world), the gang leader Ernesto, the haymaker, the woodcutter, the miller, a child with a sled, and many other figures.
